# Peoples Gas Chicago vs Tailgreeter

The clearest difference is rating: Peoples Gas Chicago at 4.9 against Tailgreeter's 3.8. Peoples Gas Chicago also leads on ratings volume (41K vs 13). Tailgreeter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Peoples Gas Chicago holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Peoples Gas Chicago has 41K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Peoples Gas Chicago's written reviews are positive against 63% of Tailgreeter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Peoples Gas Chicago ships an update every 3 months, Tailgreeter every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
