# Backyardbend vs Tripshepherd Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Tripshepherd Pro at 5.0 against Backyardbend's 4.2. Tripshepherd Pro also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Backyardbend's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
