# Deep Tools vs EANx Assistant

The clearest difference is update cadence: EANx Assistant at every 2 days against Deep Tools's every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Deep Tools sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and EANx Assistant sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Deep Tools ships an update every 6 weeks, EANx Assistant every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
