# Remove Unwanted Object vs Video Eraser

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Remove Unwanted Object at none against Video Eraser's 7. Remove Unwanted Object also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Video Eraser's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Eraser sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Remove Unwanted Object asks for nothing beyond the download.

Video Eraser holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Eraser has 1.3K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Remove Unwanted Object's written reviews are positive against 49% of Video Eraser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Remove Unwanted Object ships an update every 7 months, Video Eraser every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
