# Kurozora vs AnimeWay

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AnimeWay at none against Kurozora's 10. AnimeWay also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Kurozora's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (374 vs 34). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kurozora sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. AnimeWay asks for nothing beyond the download.

AnimeWay holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kurozora has 374 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two.
