# Kurozora vs CubeAni

The clearest difference is rating: Kurozora at 4.6 against CubeAni's 4.0. Kurozora also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (345 vs 8). CubeAni's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (13 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kurozora sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and CubeAni sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kurozora holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kurozora has 345 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Kurozora's written reviews are positive against 63% of CubeAni's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kurozora ships an update every 3 weeks, CubeAni monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
