# Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts vs Browser Note

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Browser Note at 100% against Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts's 65%. Browser Note also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (432 vs 4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Browser Note asks for nothing beyond the download.

Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts has 432 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts's written reviews are positive against 100% of Browser Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts ships an update every 3 weeks, Browser Note every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
