# Weeylite vs amaran

The clearest difference is rating: amaran at 3.7 against Weeylite's 2.9. Weeylite's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

amaran holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 39 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Weeylite's written reviews are positive against 33% of amaran's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weeylite ships an update every 2 weeks, amaran every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
