# LingoDeer Plus vs Japanese Language RPG Quest

The clearest difference is monetization model: Japanese Language RPG Quest at free with in-app purchases against LingoDeer Plus's subscription. Japanese Language RPG Quest also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 81%). LingoDeer Plus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 268). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingoDeer Plus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Japanese Language RPG Quest sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LingoDeer Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LingoDeer Plus has 3.3K ratings behind it against 268, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of LingoDeer Plus's written reviews are positive against 89% of Japanese Language RPG Quest's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LingoDeer Plus ships an update monthly, Japanese Language RPG Quest every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
