# VPN Point vs VPN MAX

The clearest difference is ads: VPN MAX at none against VPN Point's shown. VPN MAX also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). VPN Point's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 123) and review sentiment (73% vs 60%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Point sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and VPN MAX sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN Point against 4.5 for VPN MAX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Point has 1.5K ratings behind it against 123, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of VPN Point's written reviews are positive against 60% of VPN MAX's.

VPN Point ships an update every 2 months, VPN MAX every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
