# Dark Browser vs Bro Browser

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dark Browser at free with in-app purchases against Bro Browser's subscription. Dark Browser also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Bro Browser's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 31%). Both are free to download. Dark Browser sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Bro Browser sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Dark Browser against 4.5 for Bro Browser. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.2K and 1.1K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Dark Browser's written reviews are positive against 50% of Bro Browser's.
