# LongPlusView vs Home Security Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Home Security Camera at 4.5 against LongPlusView's 2.7. Home Security Camera also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). LongPlusView's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (19% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LongPlusView sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Home Security Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Home Security Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 120 and 104 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of LongPlusView's written reviews are positive against 0% of Home Security Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LongPlusView ships an update monthly, Home Security Camera fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
