# SMA Energy vs mySigen

The clearest difference is monetization model: mySigen at free against SMA Energy's free with in-app purchases. mySigen also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (45% vs 29%). SMA Energy's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 22). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.7 for SMA Energy against 3.8 for mySigen. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMA Energy has 1.4K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two.
