# Halo Collar vs GT

Halo Collar and GT both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Halo Collar's written reviews are positive against 21% of GT's. Halo Collar also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (9.5K vs 100). GT's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Halo Collar against 4.1 for GT. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Halo Collar has 9.5K ratings behind it against 100, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Halo Collar's written reviews are positive against 21% of GT's.

Halo Collar ships an update every 3 weeks, GT every 8 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
