# Dromote vs Universal All TV Remote

Dromote and Universal All TV Remote both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 48% of Universal All TV Remote's written reviews are positive against 3% of Dromote's. Universal All TV Remote also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (84 vs 26). Dromote's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.3 vs 15.6). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dromote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Universal All TV Remote sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dromote holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 26 and 84 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 3% of Dromote's written reviews are positive against 48% of Universal All TV Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dromote ships an update every 5 months, Universal All TV Remote every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
