# Readwise vs MprooV

Readwise and MprooV both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MprooV's written reviews are positive against 72% of Readwise's. MprooV also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). Readwise's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 33) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readwise sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MprooV sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Readwise against 4.8 for MprooV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readwise has 1.5K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Readwise's written reviews are positive against 100% of MprooV's.

Readwise ships an update every 2 weeks, MprooV every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
