# Cube Samurai vs Newtro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cube Samurai at 100% against Newtro's 40%. Cube Samurai also leads on price (Free vs $1.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.0). Newtro's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (45 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Cube Samurai is free to download; Newtro costs $1.99 up front. Cube Samurai sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Newtro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cube Samurai holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Newtro has 45 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Cube Samurai's written reviews are positive against 40% of Newtro's.

Cube Samurai ships an update every 3 months, Newtro fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
