# Tip vs Lovebird

The clearest difference is price: Lovebird at Free against Tip's $0.99. Lovebird also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 9) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Tip's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Lovebird is free to download; Tip costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lovebird holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lovebird has 1.4K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Tip's written reviews are positive against 82% of Lovebird's.

Tip ships an update every 11 days, Lovebird every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
