# Paper vs Scribble

The clearest difference is ads: Paper at none against Scribble's shown. Paper also leads on iOS requirement (15 vs 18.0). Scribble's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 72%) and update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paper sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Scribble sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paper ships an update monthly, Scribble every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
