# Paper vs Leaffold

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Leaffold at none against Paper's 6. Leaffold also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Paper's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paper sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Leaffold asks for nothing beyond the download.

Paper holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paper has 1.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Paper ships an update monthly, Leaffold weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
