# Winix Smart vs Narwal

The clearest difference is rating: Winix Smart at 4.6 against Narwal's 3.7. Winix Smart also leads on ratings volume (34K vs 617). Narwal's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 20%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Winix Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Winix Smart has 34K ratings behind it against 617, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Winix Smart's written reviews are positive against 41% of Narwal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Winix Smart ships an update monthly, Narwal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
