# Director's Cut vs AS FM

The clearest difference is rating: AS FM at 5.0 against Director's Cut's 4.2. AS FM also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). Director's Cut's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 36 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Director's Cut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. AS FM asks for nothing beyond the download.

AS FM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Director's Cut has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Director's Cut ships an update every 3 weeks, AS FM every 36 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
