# LocationChoices vs Tracker Protection

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LocationChoices at none against Tracker Protection's 3. LocationChoices also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Tracker Protection's advantage is ratings volume (78 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tracker Protection sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. LocationChoices asks for nothing beyond the download.

LocationChoices holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tracker Protection has 78 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of LocationChoices's written reviews are positive against 53% of Tracker Protection's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LocationChoices ships an update every 5 days, Tracker Protection every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
