# Readability vs Astral Tutor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Astral Tutor at 100% against Readability's 56%. Astral Tutor also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Readability's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (25K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readability sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Astral Tutor asks for nothing beyond the download.

Readability holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readability has 25K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Readability's written reviews are positive against 100% of Astral Tutor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Readability ships an update fortnightly, Astral Tutor daily. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
