# Howbout vs Fitdrop

The clearest difference is rating: Howbout at 4.8 against Fitdrop's 3.9. Howbout also leads on ratings volume (50K vs 134) and chart position (#70 vs unranked). Fitdrop's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 42%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Howbout sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Fitdrop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Howbout holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Howbout has 50K ratings behind it against 134, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Howbout's written reviews are positive against 68% of Fitdrop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Howbout ships an update weekly, Fitdrop fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
