# i vs UniCam

i and UniCam both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 65% of i's written reviews are positive against 33% of UniCam's. i also leads on ratings volume (706 vs 51) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. i sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and UniCam sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for i against 4.5 for UniCam. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 706 ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of i's written reviews are positive against 33% of UniCam's.

i ships an update every 4 weeks, UniCam every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
