Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: VanyaVPN at 4.3 against ВТБ Мобайл's 3.0. VanyaVPN also leads on ratings volume (3.9K vs 81). ВТБ Мобайл's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
VanyaVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VanyaVPN has 3.9K ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of ВТБ Мобайл's written reviews are positive against 34% of VanyaVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ВТБ Мобайл ships an update monthly, VanyaVPN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
