# vMix Panel vs GRecord

The clearest difference is rating: GRecord at 4.6 against vMix Panel's 4.0. GRecord also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (330 vs 5). vMix Panel's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GRecord sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. vMix Panel asks for nothing beyond the download.

GRecord holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GRecord has 330 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of vMix Panel's written reviews are positive against 71% of GRecord's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

vMix Panel ships an update every 6 months, GRecord every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
