# MixCam vs Multicam Pro

The clearest difference is rating: MixCam at 4.7 against Multicam Pro's 2.6. MixCam also leads on ratings volume (6K vs 16) and review sentiment (54% vs 43%). Multicam Pro's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MixCam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Multicam Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MixCam holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MixCam has 6K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of MixCam's written reviews are positive against 43% of Multicam Pro's.

MixCam ships an update fortnightly, Multicam Pro every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
