# MixCam vs Alpha Linker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Alpha Linker at free with in-app purchases against MixCam's subscription. MixCam's advantage is review sentiment (54% vs 16%) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MixCam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Alpha Linker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MixCam holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6K and 3.8K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of MixCam's written reviews are positive against 16% of Alpha Linker's.

MixCam ships an update fortnightly, Alpha Linker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
