# MyBambu vs eTip.io

The clearest difference is rating: MyBambu at 4.8 against eTip.io's 4.0. MyBambu also leads on ratings volume (31K vs 99). eTip.io's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 43%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyBambu holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyBambu has 31K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of MyBambu's written reviews are positive against 73% of eTip.io's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyBambu ships an update every 2 weeks, eTip.io fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
