# HomeTags vs Smart NFC Tools

The clearest difference is rating: Smart NFC Tools at 4.6 against HomeTags's 4.0. Smart NFC Tools also leads on ratings volume (481 vs 4). HomeTags's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (40% vs 30%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart NFC Tools sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. HomeTags asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart NFC Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart NFC Tools has 481 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of HomeTags's written reviews are positive against 30% of Smart NFC Tools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
