# Edith vs CoreCam

The clearest difference is price: Edith at Free against CoreCam's $2.99. Edith also leads on ratings volume (9.5K vs 8). CoreCam's advantage is review sentiment (94% vs 51%) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On rating, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Edith is free to download; CoreCam costs $2.99 up front. Edith sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. CoreCam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Edith holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Edith has 9.5K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Edith's written reviews are positive against 94% of CoreCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Edith ships an update every 2 weeks, CoreCam every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
