# Kinective vs AF App

Kinective and AF App both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Kinective's written reviews are positive against 36% of AF App's. Kinective also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). AF App's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Kinective against 4.8 for AF App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AF App has 15K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Kinective's written reviews are positive against 36% of AF App's.

Kinective ships an update every 2 months, AF App every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
