# TikVPN vs Authenticator+ App

The clearest difference is ads: Authenticator+ App at none against TikVPN's shown. Authenticator+ App also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 307). TikVPN's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TikVPN sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Authenticator+ App sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for TikVPN against 4.5 for Authenticator+ App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Authenticator+ App has 3K ratings behind it against 307, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of TikVPN's written reviews are positive against 69% of Authenticator+ App's.

TikVPN ships an update fortnightly, Authenticator+ App every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
