# Sentinel vs WasteDrop

The clearest difference is update cadence: WasteDrop at every 3 months against Sentinel's every 7 months. Sentinel's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sentinel ships an update every 7 months, WasteDrop every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
