# Atera vs Cyber Secure

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cyber Secure at 100% against Atera's 10%. Cyber Secure also leads on rating (4.5 vs 1.6) and monetization model (free vs freemium). Atera's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (113 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cyber Secure holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Atera has 113 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 10% of Atera's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cyber Secure's.

Atera ships an update every 6 weeks, Cyber Secure every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
