# Video to Pic vs Key/Frame

The clearest difference is price: Video to Pic at Free against Key/Frame's $3.99. Video to Pic also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.6). Key/Frame's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On update cadence, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Video to Pic is free to download; Key/Frame costs $3.99 up front. Video to Pic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Key/Frame sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Key/Frame holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video to Pic has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Video to Pic's written reviews are positive against 100% of Key/Frame's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
