# Study Bunny vs Ambience Search

The clearest difference is monetization model: Study Bunny at free with in-app purchases against Ambience Search's subscription. Study Bunny also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (21K vs 2). Ambience Search's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Bunny sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Ambience Search sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ambience Search holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Study Bunny has 21K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Study Bunny ships an update every 3 weeks, Ambience Search every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
