# TarangPlus vs Moovi Play

The clearest difference is rating: Moovi Play at 5.0 against TarangPlus's 2.5. Moovi Play also leads on ads (none vs shown). TarangPlus's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 8%) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TarangPlus sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $24.99 per year and Moovi Play sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Moovi Play holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TarangPlus has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of TarangPlus's written reviews are positive against 8% of Moovi Play's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TarangPlus ships an update monthly, Moovi Play every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
