# SURFboard Central vs WCV APP

The clearest difference is rating: WCV APP at 4.6 against SURFboard Central's 1.6. WCV APP also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). SURFboard Central's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 17) and review sentiment (10% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WCV APP holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SURFboard Central has 1.7K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of SURFboard Central's written reviews are positive against 0% of WCV APP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SURFboard Central ships an update every 2 months, WCV APP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
