# Ichthus vs AI Chat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ichthus at none against AI Chat's 8. Ichthus also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). AI Chat's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Ichthus asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ichthus ships an update monthly, AI Chat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
