# Rap Maker vs Vocal Ninja

The clearest difference is monetization model: Vocal Ninja at free with in-app purchases against Rap Maker's subscription. Vocal Ninja also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Rap Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 57). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rap Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days and Vocal Ninja sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Rap Maker against 4.6 for Vocal Ninja. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rap Maker has 1.1K ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Rap Maker's written reviews are positive against 80% of Vocal Ninja's.

Rap Maker ships an update every 2 weeks, Vocal Ninja weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
