# Rap Maker vs Rap Skool

The clearest difference is monetization model: Rap Skool at freemium against Rap Maker's subscription. Rap Skool also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks). Rap Maker's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rap Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days and Rap Skool sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rap Skool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rap Maker has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rap Maker ships an update every 2 weeks, Rap Skool daily. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
