# CarAVAssist vs AppUP+

The clearest difference is rating: AppUP+ at 3.7 against CarAVAssist's 1.5. AppUP+ also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). CarAVAssist's advantage is ratings volume (228 vs 3) and review sentiment (10% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AppUP+ holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CarAVAssist has 228 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of CarAVAssist's written reviews are positive against 0% of AppUP+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CarAVAssist ships an update every 3 months, AppUP+ every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
