# Secured VPN vs Nostalgic VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Nostalgic VPN at 4.0 against Secured VPN's 3.1. Nostalgic VPN also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Secured VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (326 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secured VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Nostalgic VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nostalgic VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secured VPN has 326 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Secured VPN ships an update fortnightly, Nostalgic VPN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
