# SimpleList vs Onlynote

The clearest difference is rating: Onlynote at 4.8 against SimpleList's 4.0. Onlynote also leads on ratings volume (93 vs 1). SimpleList's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Onlynote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SimpleList asks for nothing beyond the download.

Onlynote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Onlynote has 93 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of SimpleList's written reviews are positive against 75% of Onlynote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SimpleList ships an update every 3 days, Onlynote monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
