# Nonogram vs Moonlight

The clearest difference is rating: Moonlight at 4.9 against Nonogram's 4.5. Moonlight also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 69%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Nonogram's advantage is ratings volume (153 vs 16) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nonogram sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Moonlight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Moonlight holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nonogram has 153 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Nonogram's written reviews are positive against 90% of Moonlight's.

Nonogram ships an update every 2 months, Moonlight every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
