# SOB TV vs Treigning Lab

The clearest difference is monetization model: Treigning Lab at free with in-app purchases against SOB TV's subscription. Treigning Lab also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). SOB TV's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (343 vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SOB TV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Treigning Lab sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SOB TV against 5.0 for Treigning Lab. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SOB TV has 343 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 99% and 100% positive.

SOB TV ships an update every 3 months, Treigning Lab every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
