# YBox vs Exp. Group

The clearest difference is rating: YBox at 4.7 against Exp. Group's 3.0. YBox also leads on ratings volume (229 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Exp. Group's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YBox sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Exp. Group asks for nothing beyond the download.

YBox holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YBox has 229 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

YBox ships an update every 5 weeks, Exp. Group every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
